Wow, what a lovely bunch they are at Rochdale development agency! Jet from Our Future recently met Michelle and Lindsay at the Bean café, Number One Riverside. When you don’t have a local office, places like this become your new home, places where great ideas and strong community connections take root. We settled in with a cuppa and got chatting about the exciting plans happening in the Borough.
From long-term initiatives like Atom Valley, set to transform the local economy, to local activities and events, like the amazing visit from The Herds to Heywood. There’s so much happening that speaks to a thriving community. Take a look at RDA’s website for more information: Rochdale Development Agency
Step outside and connect with Netwalk
Lindsay also runs Rochdale Development Agency’s Netwalk initiative, an informal opportunity to connect with fellow businesses in an outdoor setting. We’ve heard so many good things about this network that Jet and Killian are planning to go along.
The next Business Netwalk event is Wednesday 13th August. It’s a 2.4 mile route around Hollingworth Lake that takes less than an hour. The meeting point is the RSCPCA Centre for an 08.30am start time. The flat route is an opportunity to network with local business professionals and chat over a coffee at the end. Dogs are welcome on the walk and in the café too. The RSPCA car park is £1 for 2 hours (card or cash)
Event Location: RSPCA centre car park, Hollingworth Lake, Littleborough, OL15 0AQ (what3words ///wins.hips.kind)

Jet was in town all day so stayed at the café for a delicious lunch. Not only is everyone super friendly here but the portions in Rochdale seem to be much bigger than in London #favouritething
