An evening to connect

On Tuesday 6th May 2025, over 200 people gathered in Rochdale’s Town Hall for an inspiring evening of celebration and connection.

The For Generations to Come dinner was designed to celebrate the incredible work that’s happening in the borough today and to open up new conversations on how we can all work together to create thriving future for the town.

It was a moment for local leaders, organisations and civic entrepreneurs who care about Rochdale to connect, celebrate the now and start shaping what’s next.

Built By Those Who Cared.
Shaped By Those Who Showed Up.

Rochdale’s story is one of resilience, creativity and collective action.

It has always been driven by people who believed in what Rochdale could be, people who stepped forward, people who worked together and made things happen.

From grassroots projects to bold ideas, positive change has always come from those who cared enough to get involved.

We’ve got the chance to shape what comes next, together.

For Generations to Come was sparked by the wider ambition of Rochdale AFC’s new owners, the Ogden family, who hope the club can play a bigger role in the life of Rochdale and add to the great work already being done by many brilliant people and organisations across the borough.

This first gathering was a celebration of the work already underway and an opportunity to connect with others from all walks of life, sectors and communities — united by a common love for Rochdale.

When we invested in the club, we knew we were stepping into something bigger than football. Our hope was that the event would bring people together, start new conversations and help unlock the kind of progress that can happen when we all pull in the same direction.

Get Involved

This moment is just the beginning.

Our aspiration goes far beyond the dinner event. It’s about creating meaningful partnerships, sparking ideas and harnessing collective energy to support positive change.

It’s about listening, learning and understanding the views of people across all sectors and communities. We all have something unique to contribute — and none of this can be done alone.

We would love for you to join us on this journey.

Whether you attended the event, want to get involved, or would simply like to stay updated, drop us a line — we’d love to hear from you.
