Crafting Heritage at Rochdale Town Hall

Celebrating Tradition and Togetherness Through Craft

As part of Refugee Week and Rochdale Town of Culture, Killian and visited the Crafting Heritage exhibition at The Exchange, Rochdale Town Hall on the 18th of June.

The exhibition showcased beautiful work created by Crafting Heritage trainees, alongside pieces from local school students.

Through workshops exploring traditional crafts from around the world, the exhibition celebrated the rich cultural heritage that continues to shape and strengthen the borough. A joyful reflection of creativity, connection, and community.

Photos show pieces from workshops with artists who helped local groups explore their heritage crafts including Pakistani block printing, Diwali tea light making, Argentinian loom weaving, Ukrainian petrykivka, and Congolese doll making.
