  1. ABOUT FOR GENERATIONS TO COME

1.1 For Generations to Come (“FGTC”) is a community-building initiative launched in 2025 to shape a brighter future for Rochdale.

1.2 The programme brings together cross-sector voices from across the area, builds collaboration, celebrates community efforts and explores ways to support a thriving Rochdale for generations to come.

1.3 This Policy explains what personal data FGTC collects, how we use it and the choices you have.

  2. WHO CONTROLS YOUR DATA

2.1 Data controller: Rochdale Association Football Club Ltd.

2.2 Data processor: The Change Arc Ltd (“TCA”). TCA operates the FGTC website, social channels and email system.

2.3 Contact for all data enquiries: info@forgenerationstocome.org

3.2 Feedback you share – comments or survey responses during engagement sessions.

3.3 Images and video – photographs or recordings taken at public events (clearly sign-posted).

3.4 Technical information – IP address, browser or device details and cookies. Essential cookies run the site; analytics cookies load only with your consent.

  4. PURPOSES AND LAWFUL BASES

4.1 Consent – sending FGTC newsletters and event invitations. You can unsubscribe at any time.

4.2 Legitimate interests – sending occasional community updates we believe are relevant to FGTC supporters. You can opt out at any time.

4.3 Legitimate interests – analysing anonymised feedback and reporting programme impact.

4.4 Contract – fulfilling a purchase or prize draw you enter.

4.5 Legal obligation – meeting statutory accounting and audit requirements.

4.6 Where you provide special-category information (for example about health or ethnicity) we process it only with your explicit consent and anonymise it wherever possible.

  5. SHARING YOUR DATA

5.1 Specialist service providers – marketing support, hosting, email and analytics platforms that run FGTC systems under contract. Where data is transferred outside the UK we use UK-approved safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Addendum to the Standard Contractual Clauses.

5.2 Trusted partners – including Our Future (UK charity 1206886) which leads community-engagement work, runs local events, gathers insights and helps report programme impact. Partners must respect your privacy and comply with data-protection law. To learn more, or to opt out of this partner sharing, email info@forgenerationstocome.org.

5.3 Public authorities or courts when required by law.

5.4 We never sell your personal data.

  6. OPTIONAL EMAILS FROM OUR FUTURE

6.1 FGTC sign-up forms include an unticked box: “Yes – please email me news and opportunities directly from Our Future.”

6.2 If you tick the box we securely pass your name and email to Our Future. Our Future then acts as an independent data controller under its own Privacy Notice. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in its messages or by emailing privacy@our-future.io.

6.3 If you leave the box unticked your data is not shared with Our Future.

6.4 Your decision under this section does not affect the messages you receive from FGTC.

7.3 Anonymised survey responses are retained for up to three years for impact measurement.

7.4 Financial and legal records are retained for six years.

7.5 After these periods your data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
